15, 19, and 23 June 2026, a successful public defense of qualification works by higher education applicants of groups TK-21 and TK-21P under the educational and professional program “Network and Internet Technologies” at the Bachelor’s degree level in specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” took place
All qualification works were dedicated to relevant topics, possessed practical significance, and aroused interest among the members of the Examination Board with their content and design results. The final works covered the most modern and interesting areas in telecommunications and the IT sector: design of optical communication lines, network protocols, IP communications, the Nextcloud software environment, data encoding, 5G mobile communications, etc. The Examination Board included employer experts and practicing specialists from enterprises and organizations of the Sumy region.
Solving complex problems in telecommunications and information networks within the bachelor’s projects demonstrated the graduates’ understanding of their future professional tasks and their important mission regarding further informatization of Ukrainian society, ensuring reliable communication, and developing modern telecommunication networks in Ukraine.
Out of 16 qualification works, Examination Board No. 16.2 in Telecommunications and Radio Engineering rated 11 projects (69%) as “Excellent” and four projects (25%) as “Good”. Three final works (19%) were completed at the request of enterprises and have certificates of implementation into production.
The supervision and technical guidance of the qualification works also involved the Chief Specialist of the Department for Maintaining the Uniform Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and Information and Analytical Work of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Ph.D. D. A. Pechenyuk; Director of LLC “ESP ‘Preobrazovatel'” V. V. Arbuzov; and Deputy Director for Operation and Maintenance of Computer and Television Equipment of LLC “PRIMEFORT” V. A. Kibets.
By the decision of the Examination Board, the following qualification works were recognized as the best:
1.“Hardware and Software Implementation of IP-PBX Based on ARM Architecture”by student Yegor Volodymyrovych Oblyvantsov (Supervisors – Ph.D., Senior Lecturer of the Department O. Ye. Horiachev; defense held in English).
2. “Deployment of a Private Nextcloud Cloud Environment in AWS with Secure Access via the Enterprise Network” by student Dmytro Volodymyrovych Khazhanets (Supervisors – Associate Professor, Ph.D. O. V. Dyachenko; Chief Specialist of the Department for Maintaining the Uniform Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and Information and Analytical Work of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Ph.D. D. A. Pechenyuk).
3. “Enterprise Network Based on VPN Protocol Technology” by student Vadym Mykolayovych Dehtiarenko (Supervisor – Associate Professor, Ph.D. O. V. Dyachenko).
All graduates were recommended for admission to the Master’s degree program under the educational and professional program “Electronic Systems”.
