On May 15, 2026, Sumy State University celebrated the Day of Science. On this occasion, a meeting was organized between representatives of the university’s faculties and students of grades 9 and 11 from schools of the city and region in order to promote science, modern technologies, and familiarize future applicants with the university’s educational programs.
Representatives of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies, including staff members of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, which makes a significant contribution to the faculty’s scientific activity, also participated in the event. School students were introduced to modern scientific equipment and technologies used in the educational process and scientific research.
In particular, participants had the opportunity to personally control the process of 3D printing conductive tracks on printed circuit boards, as well as learn about the operating principles of a 3D scanner used for creating digital models of complex objects.
In addition, representatives of the department spoke about the main scientific achievements of the subdivision, current research areas in electronics, nanomaterials, flexible electronics, and additive technologies, as well as opportunities for students to participate in scientific projects and international programs.
We hope that such events will help future applicants become more familiar with the world of science and choose a direction for their further professional development. We wish graduates success in their examinations, confidence in their abilities, and successful admission to their dream higher education institution.
