Students of the G5 specialty “Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrument Engineering, and Radio Engineering” of Sumy State University (SumDU) made an important educational visit to the JABIL enterprise. The excursion was conducted under the supervision of Maksym Yermakov, Assistant Lecturer of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering.
The company Jabil, one of the global leaders in the manufacturing of electronic equipment, mobile devices, and networking hardware, opened its doors to future professionals. During the visit, students had a unique opportunity to:
• Become familiar with the real manufacturing process — from design to final assembly of high-tech products.
• Observe the operation of modern equipment used for the production of electronic components.
• Learn about the requirements for specialists in the fields of electronics and telecommunications at an international enterprise.
• Communicate with Jabil engineers and technical specialists regarding practical aspects of professional work.
Such visits are an integral part of the educational process, as they allow students to compare theoretical knowledge acquired at the university with practical challenges and innovations in the industrial sector. The G5 specialty at SumDU trains professionals capable of working with electronic information systems, sensor electronics, and laser technologies, which are highly relevant for companies such as Jabil.
