On April 9, 2024, the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering of Sumy State University held an online career guidance event for students of Pryluky Technical Vocational College in the format of an open lecture on the topic “Modern Network Technologies”.
The event began with a speech by the Deputy Head of the Department, Associate Professor Ihor Anatoliyovych Kulyk, who introduced the audience to the main areas of educational and scientific activity of the department, its development prospects, and the launch of a new specialty — “Computer Engineering”. He emphasized the high ranking positions of the department within the university structure and invited the college students to continue their studies in modern educational programs in order to gain relevant knowledge and skills for building a successful career in the IT field.
The main part of the open lecture was conducted by Associate Professor of the Department Oleksii Viktorovych D’iachenko, who focused on modern network technologies, methods of configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of networks using the Cisco Packet Tracer environment and real Cisco network equipment.
The participants of the event thanked the department’s lecturers for a meaningful, interesting, and informative lecture, which not only broadened their understanding of modern technologies but also helped them determine their future professional path. They also expressed their gratitude for the invitation to apply to the specialties of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering of Sumy State University.
