On June 19 and 24, 2025, the public defense of qualification theses by the students of group TK-11 took place within the educational and professional program “Network and Internet Technologies” at the bachelor’s level in specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering”.
All qualification theses addressed relevant topics and aroused keen interest among the members of the examination board due to their practical orientation. The final projects covered the most modern and interesting directions in telecommunications and radio engineering: the Internet of Things, 5G networks, fiber optic communication lines, data encryption, and more. Among the members of the examination board were expert employers and industry practitioners from enterprises and organizations of the Sumy region.
Solving complex problems in the field of telecommunications and information networks in the bachelor’s projects demonstrated the graduates’ understanding of the tasks of their future professional activity and their important mission in further informatization of Ukrainian society, ensuring reliable communication, and developing modern telecommunication networks in Ukraine.
The examination board for specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” evaluated 40% of all qualification theses with the grade “excellent”, and 30% of the projects received the grade “good”.
Among those involved in supervising and consulting during the qualification thesis development were D. A. Pecheniuk, PhD in Engineering, Leading Specialist of the Department of Administration of Information Systems, Telecommunications and Information Protection of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Region, as well as V. A. Kibets, Deputy Director for Operation and Maintenance of Computer and Television Equipment at LLC “PRAIMFORT”.
The best qualification theses, according to the decision of the examination board, were the following:
1. “Intelligent Load Balancing System in Web Networks” by student Yaroslav Oleksandrovych Ivanii (supervisors – PhD in Engineering, Senior Lecturer of the Department Horiachiev O. Ye.; Deputy Director for Operation and Maintenance of Computer and Television Equipment at LLC “PRAIMFORT” V. A. Kibets).
2. “IoT Device with 5G Network Monitoring Function” by student Stepan Ihorovych Kyrychenko (supervisors – PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor of the Department Berezhna O. V.; Director of LLC “ESP ‘Preobrazovatel'” V. V. Arbuzov).
3. “Telecommunication System of Equilibrium and Quasi-Equilibrium Coding” by student Maryna Maksymivna Suprun (supervisor – PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor of the Department Kulyk I. A.).
All graduates were recommended for admission to the master’s program “Electronic Systems” at the second (master’s) level of higher education.
