On April 5, 2024, a career orientation meeting was held by a representative from the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Associate Professor Grynenko V.V., with graduates of Romen Lyceum No. 1 named after P.I. Kalnyshewsky, Romen Lyceum No. 2 named after Academician A.F. Ioffe, and Romen Lyceum No. 4 named after Hero of Ukraine Tetiana Markus.
During the meeting, graduates of the lyceums in the city of Romny were introduced to information regarding the peculiarities of the admission campaign for the year 2024. They also became acquainted with Sumy State University and its structural units, discovered new opportunities for future education, and communicated with representatives of the admissions committee and the Center for Distance, Evening, and Correspondence Learning regarding the procedure for conducting the National Mathematics Tournament in 2024.
Additionally, lyceum graduates were briefed on the content and specifics of training specialists under the bachelor’s level educational programs, particularly “Electronic Systems and Components” of specialization 171 “Electronics” and “Network and Internet Technologies” of specialization 172 “Electronic Communications and Radiotechnics”. The representative of the graduating department, Associate Professor Grynenko V.V., discussed the differences in the educational programs of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering regarding the in-depth formation of skills in the development and operation of computer equipment, programming of microcontroller control systems, automation, and communication, as well as the construction of modern information networks. Associate Professor Grynenko V.V. emphasized the prospects of future employment for bachelor’s degree holders studying under the educational programs “Electronic Systems and Components” and “Network and Internet Technologies” in powerful domestic and foreign telecommunications and IT companies, as well as enterprises in the electronics and communication sectors.
