A team of researchers from the Laboratory of Optoelectronics and Solar Energy at the Department of Electronics and Computer Technology of Sumy State University — Bohdan Boiko, Maksym Yermakov, Oleksandr Dobrozhan, Anatolii Opanasyuk, and colleagues — published a scientific article entitled “Chemical composition, structure, optical and electrical characteristics of ZnMgO films obtained by pulsed spray pyrolysis” in the high-impact international journal Ceramics International (Elsevier, Q1 quartile). The study was conducted within the framework of the research project “Thin-film heterojunctions based on new oxide, tetrahedrite, and chalcogenide materials deposited by non-vacuum chemical methods for solar energy and thermoelectric applications”, funded by the general fund of the state budget.
The journal Ceramics International is indexed in leading scientometric databases and is one of the most authoritative publications in the field of materials science and ceramic materials. According to Elsevier / ScienceDirect, the journal has an Impact Factor of 6.0 and a CiteScore of 9.1, confirming the high scientific level of the publication and the relevance of the research presented in it.
The paper investigates the chemical composition, structural, optical, and electrical characteristics of ZnMgO solid solution films deposited using a simple, energy-efficient, non-vacuum method of pulsed spray pyrolysis. The obtained results are important for the further development of the materials science of new oxide compounds aimed at creating functional thin-film materials for optoelectronics, solar energy, thermoelectrics, and related fields of modern materials science.
