Awarding of the winners of the conference “Physics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering (PEE-2024)”

As part of the celebration of Science Day on May 17, the EKT department held a ceremony to present prizes to the winners of the competition for the best presentation at the “International Scientific and Technical Conference of Students and Young Scientists ‘Physics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering (FEE-2024)'”, organized and conducted by SumDU. The “Electronic Systems, Devices, and Means of Information Encoding” section, led by the department, received 29 presentation theses. As a result, it became the largest section at the conference in terms of the number of submitted theses. The presentations based on research materials were made both in video mode and directly in the auditorium where the conference was held.

Both PhD students and students from the “Electronics” (educational program “Electronic Systems and Components”) and “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” specialties presented their reports. After the presentations, a commission formed from the department’s instructors and researchers determined the winners in two different categories: among students and PhD students.

The decision was made to distribute the places among the presentations as follows:

          Students:

1st place – Vladyslav Krolevetskyi  student of group ES-01, for the report “Zener Diodes as Low-Leakage Small-Signal Diodes for Protecting Lithium-Ion Batteries” (without a supervisor).

2nd place – Ihor Lyfar, student of group INm-31, for the report “Dual-Mode Control of Injection Current in High-Power Laser Diodes” (student’s supervisor: Diachenko O.V.).

3rd place – Bohdan Shevtsov, student of group ES-01, for the report “Electronics for Economical Home Heating” (student’s supervisor: Novhorodtsev A.I.).

          PhD Students:

1st place – Serhii Lyfar for the report “2D Scanner for Combined Laser Annealing of Thin Films of Wide Bandgap Materials” (PhD student’s supervisor: Opanasiuk A.S.).

2nd place – Yurii Shkyria for the report “Dual Extruder 3D Printer for Printing Electronics” (PhD student’s supervisor: Opanasiuk A.S.).

3rd place – Bohdan Boiko for the report “Raman Spectroscopy of Doped Cu ZnO Films Obtained by Spray Pyrolysis” (PhD student’s supervisor: Opanasiuk A.S.).

3rd place – Vitalii Vasyliev for the report “Effect of Indium Doping on the Structural and Optical Properties of ZnSe Films Obtained by Thermal Vacuum Evaporation for Use in Electronics” (PhD student’s supervisor: Opanasiuk A.S.).

Additionally, Maryna Shevchenko, the secretary of the “Electronic Systems, Devices, and Means of Information Encoding” section, received a commendation from the dean of the ELIT faculty for her extensive work over the years in preparing theses for publication in the conference materials.
