As part of the comprehensive development program for the unified educational space of Sumy State University for 2026–2029 “Base Higher Education Institution – Sumy State University Vocational Colleges”, representatives of the Department of Electronics and Computer Technology and the cycle commissions of the Separate Structural Unit “Classic Vocational College of Sumy State University” held a joint working meeting dedicated to deepening educational-methodological, scientific, and organizational-technical cooperation. The discussion was joined by the Head of the Department of Electronics and Computer Technology, Prof. A. S. Opanasyuk, guarantors of educational programs “Electronic Systems and Components”, “Computer Engineering” Associate Professors I. A. Kulyk and V. V. Hrynenko, Deputy Director of the College for Educational and Methodological Work M. M. Ivashchenko, Head of the “Computer and Electronic Technologies” Department of the College Yu. M. Salii, and heads of cycle commissions for specialties F7 “Computer Engineering” N. I. Dyukhina and G5 “Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation, and Radio Engineering” N. V. Trynytko.
The discussion on closer interaction between the Separate Structural Unit “Classic Vocational College of Sumy State University” and the Department of Electronics and Computer Technology focused on key areas of cooperation: continuous education and academic integration, career guidance and admission to Sumy State University, digital interaction and joint use of digital resources, quality assurance of education, practical training, career development and partnership with employers, international and grant research, and research and development activities.
During the meeting, the participants agreed upon a step-by-step implementation plan for the comprehensive development program of the unified educational space between the Department of Electronics and Computer Technology and the corresponding cycle commissions of the structural unit “Classic Vocational College of Sumy State University”. The main measures of the agreed plan include introducing expert evaluation of related educational programs to ensure academic continuity and seamlessness of educational trajectories, involving scientific and pedagogical staff of the department in teaching individual educational components, conducting open classes, professional master classes, and academic mentoring in colleges, holding career guidance meetings with employers and practical specialists, organizing joint Specialty Days, arranging virtual tours of the department’s laboratories for college graduates, dual supervision of graduation theses, and joint participation in international scientific and technical conferences and student research competitions.
