Successful Defense of Master’s Theses by Students of ES.m-41 and ES.m-41s Groups Specializing in “Electronics” Took Place on December 18, 19, and 25, 2025

On December 18, 19, and 25, 2025, students of groups ES.m-41 and ES.m-41s successfully defended their Master’s qualification theses under the “Electronic Systems” educational program, specialty 171 “Electronics.”

The Examination Commission (EC 16.1) — which included the Director of the Institute of Applied Physics of the NASU, Dr. Sc. O.A. Lebed; the Director of LLC “ESP Preobrazovatel,” V.V. Arbuzov; the Deputy Director for Computer Equipment Maintenance at LLC “PRIMEPORT,” V.A. Kibets; and Associate Professors of the department I.A. Kulyk and A.I. Novhorodtsev — recognized the presented theses as highly relevant and practically significant. All the submitted graduation works involve solving complex problems in the field of electronics and reflect the modern level of development in electronic systems, particularly mobile, embedded, distributed, and programmable systems. The vast majority of the qualification works were completed using computer-aided design (CAD) systems for electronic systems, demonstrating a high level of application of information technology and software. The research results of most theses were presented at scientific and practical conferences and published in sets of abstracts.

During the defense, the students demonstrated a high professional level, as well as the ability to present their developments, justify adopted technical decisions, engage in productive discussion, and critically evaluate the obtained results. While presenting their projects, the students confirmed their deep mastery of essential professional skills: the capacity to conduct research at the appropriate level, the ability to generate new ideas, an understanding of the subject area and professional activity, and the capacity to identify, pose, and solve problems.

A significant portion (33%) of the Master’s qualification works were carried out at the request of enterprises, while 22% of the projects were developed under dual supervision, involving both a supervisor from the graduating department and a practicing specialist or employer.

According to the decision of the Examination Commission, the following graduation works were recognized as the best:

1.”Remote vehicle monitoring and control system” by student Bohdan Oleksandrovych Tovstohuz (Supervisor from the department – Associate Professor of the ECT Department, PhD O.V. Berezhna; Supervisor from the enterprise – Director of LLC “ESP Preobrazovatel” V.V. Arbuzov).

2. “Electronic system for microclimate monitoring in buildings” by student Artem Kostiantynovych Zabuha (Supervisor – Head of the ECT Department, Professor, Dr. Sc. A.S. Opanasyuk).

The graduates B.O. Tovstohuz, A.K. Zabuha, and A.V. Pelypeichenko were recommended by the Examination Commission for admission to PhD programs.
