According to the Procedure for Admission to Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine in 2025, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, a regional coefficient (RC) of 1.07 has been established for Sumy State University.
The regional coefficient is applied when calculating an applicant’s competitive score and serves as a policy tool aimed at supporting access to higher education in regions with specific socio-economic conditions. According to the current Procedure, a coefficient of 1.07 is granted to higher education institutions located in Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv regions.
For comparison, the regional coefficient values for 2025 are as follows:
