Meeting of the Interfaculty Seminar: New Opportunities for Research at SumDU

On November 22, in the EKT Department, auditorium ET-236 hosted another session of the ongoing interfaculty seminar “Modern Problems of Physics and Materials Science” under the leadership of Professor Opanasiuk A.S. This time, the speaker was SumDU’s Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Anatolii Mykolaiovych Chornous, presenting the report titled “Opportunities of the Shared Research Equipment Center ‘Laboratory of Materials Science for Helioenergetic, Sensor, and Nanoelectronic Systems’ for Research Conducted by SumDU Scientists.” He introduced the audience, including both in-person attendees and remote participants, to the center’s capabilities and its development prospects. Notably, by the end of the year, the center is set to receive a new state-of-the-art foreign-made diffractometer, replacing the old Soviet-era DRON-4 device. The Vice-Rector’s information sparked considerable interest. A record number of participants attended the event, including 75 lecturers and researchers from SumDU and external organizations. The next report, titled “Modern Biomaterials,” by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Leonid Fedorovych Sukhodub, is scheduled to be presented at the seminar on December 6 at 3:00 PM.
