The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) of Ukraine, in accordance with the requirements of Article 57 of the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity,” annually forms a state order for the most important scientific and technical (experimental) developments and scientific-technical products and provides financial support for its implementation.
By the order of the MES of Ukraine No. 1139 dated August 14, 2024, the Regulation on the Scientific and Technical Council on the Formation and Implementation of the State Order for the Most Important Scientific and Technical (Experimental) Developments and Scientific-Technical Products and its sections was approved.
According to the Regulation, the personal composition of the sections of the Scientific and Technical Council on the Formation and Implementation of the State Order for the Most Important Scientific and Technical (Experimental) Developments and Scientific-Technical Products is approved by the order of the MES.
The sections are formed according to the priority directions of science and technology development, as defined in Article 3 of the Law of Ukraine “On Priority Directions of Science and Technology Development,” with an applied focus, namely:
The head of the EKT department, Professor A. S. Opanasiyuk, was included in the “Energy and Energy Efficiency” section according to the MES order No. 1139. He has been involved in reviewing scientific projects submitted to MES competitions for more than 15 years and is also an expert at the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU). Additionally, two other faculty members of the EKT department, Associate Professors O. A. Dobrozhan and O. V. Dyachenko, were included in the MES Expert Council on the specialization “Physics, Nuclear Physics, and Astronomy” according to the MES order No. 1004 dated July 15, 2024. They conduct expert evaluations of so-called “youth” projects.
