On June 12 and 19, 2024, the final certification took place in the form of a public defense of qualification projects by the graduates of group TK-01 under the bachelor’s degree program “Network and Internet Technologies” in specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering”

          On June 12 and 19, 2024, students of group TK-01 publicly defended their qualification projects under the bachelor’s degree program “Network and Internet Technologies” in specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering”

 

 

           All the qualification projects were relevant in terms of topics and attracted significant interest from the examination committee due to their practical orientation. The committee included employer experts, practicing specialists from major enterprises and organizations in the Sumy region, as well as lecturers from the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering. The solutions to complex tasks in the field of telecommunications and information networks demonstrated the graduates’ understanding of their future professional activities and the important mission of further informatization of Ukrainian society, ensuring reliable communication, and developing modern telecommunications networks in Ukraine.

 

           The examination committee for specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” evaluated 60% of the graduation projects as “excellent,” with the remaining projects receiving a “good” rating. The results of the scientific research of most projects were presented at international scientific conferences of young scientists. An expert-employer was also involved in supervising and consulting on the qualification projects—Dmytro Andriyovych Pechenyuk, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Information Systems Administration, Telecommunications, and Information Security of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Region.

 

           The best graduation projects, according to the examination committee, were:

 

  1. “Telecommunication Device for Data Protection for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles” by student Artem Kostiantynovych Zabuga (supervisor: Associate Professor I. A. Kulyk, Ph.D.).
  2. “Public Transport Monitoring System Based on Blockchain Technology” by student Oleksandr Andriyovych Mazurkevich (supervised by Associate Professor O. V. Berezhna, Ph.D., from the department and D. A. Pechenyuk, Ph.D., from the enterprise, Head of the Department of Information Systems Administration, Telecommunications, and Information Security of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Region).

 

           Additionally, the graduation project “HDMI Video Switcher” by Oleksiy Volodymyrovych Kalchenko (supervisor: Associate Professor V. V. Grynenko, Ph.D.) was noted for having the lowest text similarity coefficient (4.8%) in the StrikePlagiarism system this year.

 

           All graduates were recommended for admission to the master’s degree program “Electronic Systems” of the second (master’s) level. We wish the graduates of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering success in their studies and professional careers!
