On May 14, 2024, a joint meeting was held between the Expert Advisory Board of Employers for specialties 171 “Electronics” and 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering,” and the working project groups of the educational programs “Electronic Systems” at the master’s level, “Electronic Systems and Components,” and “Networks and Internet Technologies” at the bachelor’s level

          On May 14, 2024, a joint meeting was held between the Expert Advisory Board of Employers for specialties 171 “Electronics” and 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering,” and the working project groups of the educational programs “Electronic Systems” at the master’s level, “Electronic Systems and Components,” and “Networks and Internet Technologies” at the bachelor’s level.

          At this meeting, the following issues were discussed:

1. Updating educational and methodological materials for educational components and aligning their content with the current labor market demands and the military needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

2. Increasing the effectiveness of career guidance work and continuing the practice of departmental surveys of students regarding the quality of the educational programs conducted by the department;

3. Developing mechanisms to encourage the involvement of employers and expert practitioners in supervising qualification works, executing final projects ordered by enterprises and IT companies, and implementing project results in production.

Experts and members of the working project groups agreed on expanding the catalog of elective professional disciplines with educational components dedicated to the design of unmanned systems and electronic warfare means, methods and tools for reliable control of unmanned aerial and ground platforms, and including relevant educational materials in the cycle of normative training disciplines.

 

          The Chairman of the Expert Council of Employers, Prof. Ponomarov O.G., emphasized the unconditional advisability of continuing the practice of student surveys at the department level for the educational programs “Electronic Systems,” “Electronic Systems and Components,” and “Network and Internet Technologies” regarding the quality of their implementation.

 

        Expert Arbuzov V.V. noted certain positive steps regarding the joint supervision of students’ qualification works by instructors and practitioners. At the final certification of bachelors in June 2024, the defense of six graduation works under the joint supervision of instructors and practitioners is expected.  

 


            Expert Kibets V.A. emphasized the need to continuously update the educational and laboratory base of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, adapting to modern trends in the development of electronic engineering and information and communication technologies.

           

          After the joint meeting of experts and members of the working project groups for the educational programs “Electronic Systems,” “Electronic Systems and Components,” and “Network and Internet Technologies,” an excursion to the department’s laboratories took place. Employers and experts familiarized themselves with the new modern laboratory equipment planned to be used in the training of bachelors and masters in the 2024-2025 academic year. The demonstrated modern electronic systems and devices received positive feedback from employer-experts.
