From 2021 to November 15, 2023, research is being conducted in the Department of ECT on the topic of “PERSPECTIVE SEMICONDUCTOR NANOMATERIALS FOR FLEXIBLE ELECTRONICS NEEDS: SYNTHESIS, DEVELOPMENT OF PRINTING METHODS, AND OPTIMIZATION OF THEIR STRUCTURAL, OPTICAL, AND PHOTOELECTRIC PROPERTIES.” These studies are carried out with the grant support from the National Fund for Research of Ukraine (NFRU) under the competition “Support for Research by Leading and Young Scientists.” The project funding under the contract amounted to 9,082,041 UAH, although this amount was slightly reduced due to the onset of war. The mentioned grant allowed the research group led by Professor Opanasiuk A.S. to purchase scientific equipment for research, totaling more than 4 million UAH. Finally, this week, the last scientific instrument purchased under the NFRU project “Hall Characteristics Measurement System” (model HCS 1, manufacturer Linnseis, Germany) has arrived. This device allows for the characterization of semiconductor materials regarding their electrical transport properties, including Hall mobility, carrier concentration, specific resistance, magneto-resistance, and the Seebeck coefficient in the temperature range up to 400°C. The parameters of substances that can be measured with this device are in an exceptionally wide range of values. This makes the device unique, but it comes at a considerable cost, nearly 2 million UAH. We would like to thank the NFRU for providing a grant to purchase such a high-quality instrument.
