On January 23, 2026, the General Meeting of the Staff of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies (ELIT) took place in a remote format. During the session, several key organizational and strategic issues regarding the faculty’s performance and the university’s future development were addressed.
The agenda included:
A report by the Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies, Yuriy Yuriyovych Volk, on the results of the faculty’s work in 2025;
Discussion of proposals for the list of delegates from the ELIT Faculty to the Conference of the Staff of Sumy State University (SumDU);
Recommendations for the SumDU Staff Conference regarding the formation of the University’s Academic Council.
In his presentation, the Dean provided a comprehensive and detailed report on the activities of the dean’s office and the entire faculty staff throughout the challenging and demanding year of 2025. Key achievements in educational, scientific, and organizational sectors were highlighted, and priority goals for the faculty in 2026 were outlined. Following the discussion, the Dean’s performance as an organizer of educational and administrative processes was recognized as satisfactory, accompanied by specific remarks and constructive feedback from representatives of the university administration.
During the meeting, the list of delegates to the SumDU Staff Conference was officially approved, and candidates for the Academic Council of Sumy State University were nominated.
Prior to the Dean’s report, a formal award ceremony was held to honor faculty members for their significant contributions to teaching, research, and community service. Among the awardees:
Ihor Anatoliyovych Kulyk, Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Electronics and Computer Technology , was awarded a 2nd Degree Diploma as a winner of the “Best Lecturer Through the Eyes of Students” contest for the 2024–2025 academic year.
Maksym Yermakov, Assistant at the ECT Department, was honored with a diploma in the “Start of the Year” category for his confident and active integration into the ELIT Faculty team.
