On March 17, a meeting took place involving the dean, vice-deans, heads of departments, lecturers, academic group curators, student curators, and representatives of the student dean’s office.
The aim of the meeting was to create an open dialogue between the faculty administration and the student community to identify factors that complicate the educational process and the adaptation of first-year students to the university environment.
During the discussion, key issues were raised, including:
The role of lecturers and faculty specialists during the exam period – the specifics of interaction with first-year students during preparation and taking exams.
The mechanism for closing academic records – a detailed explanation of the procedure and deadlines for resolving academic debts.
Statistical analysis of the academic performance of first-year students based on the results of the winter session – identifying trends, typical difficulties, and ways to overcome them.
Opportunities for improving academic results – additional ways to earn points, including active participation in scientific, creative, and professional activities.
Special attention was paid to the need to strengthen interaction between students and lecturers, the development of communication channels for quickly resolving issues, as well as the formation of a comfortable educational environment that promotes academic growth and personal development of students.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of specific initiatives to improve support for first-year students and proposals for optimizing the educational process.
