On 11 October 2025, as part of the Open Day, which was held with great success today at Sumy State University, the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECE) also warmly opened its doors to dozens of prospective applicants and their parents. Future students had a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about the advantages of studying at the department, immerse themselves in an atmosphere of innovation, and see with their own eyes the most exciting student projects and many other developments.
Representatives of the ECE Department presented two key specialities that are in high demand on today’s job market and are implemented through three educational programs.

· G5 “Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation and Radio Engineering”:
– Electronic Systems and Components
– Network and Internet Technologies
The demonstration of student projects sparked particular interest among the guests. The department’s lecturers and PhD students gladly answered numerous questions, explaining the operating principles of various devices and presenting the academic projects in which every student may take part.
The interactive part of the event did not leave anyone indifferent. Prospective applicants took part in an engaging quiz on the basics of electronics and computer technologies. The most insightful participants received memorable souvenirs featuring the department’s logo.
During the Open Day at Sumy State University, the location of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering became a vivid example that engineering education is not only challenging but also incredibly exciting and full of prospects. The interested looks of the young visitors and their lively conversations clearly indicated that many of today’s guests may soon join the friendly student community of Sumy State University.
