Specialist in the field of digital electronics and information technology. Doctor of Technical Sciences (1991), professor (1992). Graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics (1970). Since 1980, he has been working at Sumy State University: senior lecturer, associate professor, professor, head of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering (1992-2012), from 2012 to the present 2023, a professor of this department.
Has more than 200 scientific works, including about 40 inventions, about 20 monographs and training manuals, two textbooks. The main scientific direction is improving the reliability and speed of electronic digital systems and devices based on interference-resistant calculation systems, among which binomial, factorial and Fibonacci systems have been studied in detail. Along with this, work was carried out in the field of information theory and coding, where he developed new methods of interference-resistant coding and information compression.
He was in charge of state budget and economic topics, where systems of technical management and technological control were developed, as well as systems of interference-resistant transmission of information with its further compression.
During his scientific work at Sumy State University, he trained 10 candidates of sciences in the specialties “Computer systems and components” and “Elements and devices of computing equipment and control systems”.
He was awarded a grant from the “Renaissance” foundation in 1998, established by the Government of Ukraine and the Open Society Institute of the USA, which was held among professors of mathematics in Ukraine.
Awarded with an honorary diploma and a sign “Excellence of Education of Ukraine” of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Has the title “Honored Professor of Sumy State University”.
