The seminar is headed by Professor A.S. Opanasyuk, Head of the Department of Electronics and Computer Technology (ECT).<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003\u2003The seminar featured a presentation by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the ECT Department, Oleksiy Borysenko, titled <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"128\">&#8220;INFORMATION IN PHYSICAL PHENOMENA.&#8221;<\/b> In his speech, the presenter introduced the audience to the fundamental definitions of information and its various types. He introduced the concepts of basic and internal constraints that shape products, objects, and systems, leading to the emergence of order, structure, and correlations within them. The structural theory of information and its core equation were also presented.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003The speaker focused in more detail on physical information, linking it to the <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"78\">second law of thermodynamics<\/b> and system entropy. Professor Borysenko also discussed the <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"166\">Landauer limit<\/b>\u2014the minimum energy dissipated when erasing one bit of information from memory, regardless of the physical implementation of the process. This causes a change in the system&#8217;s entropy by: S = kTln2. This results in the release of at least 2,7\u00d710\u207b\u00b2\u00b9 <span class=\"math-inline\" data-math=\"2.7 \\times 10^{-21}\\text{ J}\" data-index-in-node=\"40\">$2.7 \\times 10^{-21}\\text{ J}$<\/span> of thermal energy at room temperature (300 K). Reaching the Landauer limit in the design of nanoelectronic devices is anticipated within the coming decades.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003\u2003<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Additionally, the following presentations were delivered earlier this year during the seminar sessions:<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003\u2003<\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">&#8220;Proton Lithography: Prospects for Micro- and Nanostructure Production in Ukraine&#8221;<\/b> (Presented by PhD, Research Fellow at the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Hlib Yevhenovych Polozhiy);<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003\u2003<\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">&#8220;Nuclear-Physical Research Methods on an Analytical Accelerator Complex&#8221;<\/b> (Presented by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Director of the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Oleksandr Anatoliyovych Lebed).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003<span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">\u2003\u2003<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2003\u2003On May 22, 2026, the final session of this semester\u2019s inter-faculty scientific seminar &#8220;Modern Problems of Physics and Materials Science&#8221; was held remotely.
