\u2003\u2003\u2003On 15 August 2025<\/strong>, a successful defense of the dissertation by Maksym Serhiiovych Yermakov<\/strong> for the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy<\/strong> in the field of knowledge 10 \u201cNatural Sciences\u201d<\/strong>, specialty 105 \u201cApplied Physics and Nanomaterials,\u201d<\/strong> took place at Sumy State University<\/strong>. The topic of the dissertation is \u201cOptimization of the Characteristics of ZnO:In, Zn\u2082SnO\u2084, Cu\u2082Mg\u2093Zn\u2081\u208b\u2093SnS\u2084 Nanoparticles and Films for the Formation of Functional Layers of Electronic Devices.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2003\u2003\u2003The work was dedicated to solving relevant scientific challenges in modern materials science physics, particularly to the development and improvement of synthesis, modification, and investigation methods for nanostructured materials with promising applications in optoelectronic, energy, and sensor devices. The dissertation research is distinguished by its comprehensive approach, combining experimental techniques and physico-chemical modelling, as well as by its practical orientation toward creating efficient functional layers for modern electronic technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2003\u2003\u2003The defense was conducted in an online format. The ad hoc specialized academic council heard the candidate\u2019s presentation and held a detailed discussion of his scientific results. The council included:<\/span>

\u2013 Reviewers<\/strong> \u2013 Oleksandra Honcharova<\/em>, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Complex Systems Modelling at Sumy State University, and Yurii Shabelnyk<\/em>, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Electronics, General and Applied Physics at Sumy State University;<\/span>
\u2013 Official Opponents<\/strong> \u2013 Valentyn Yukhymchuk<\/em>, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Optics and Spectroscopy at the V. Ye. Lashkaryov Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the NAS of Ukraine, and Roman Zaitsev<\/em>, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Micro- and Nanoelectronics at the National Technical University \u201cKharkiv Polytechnic Institute.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2003\u2003\u2003Based on the comprehensive discussion and evaluation of the scientific contributions, a unanimous decision was made to award Maksym Yermakov<\/strong> the degree of Doctor of Philosophy<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2003\u2003\u2003We sincerely congratulate the candidate, Maksym Serhiiovych Yermakov<\/strong>, on the successful defense! We wish him continued success in research, the realization of new ideas, and the development and implementation of results in modern technologies. May this successful defense mark only the beginning of a significant scientific path and major achievements for the benefit of science and society.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2003\u2003\u2003We also sincerely congratulate the scientific supervisor \u2013 Anatolii Serhiiovych Opanasiuk<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at Sumy State University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor. Thanks to his support, scientific guidance, and professional expertise, another successful dissertation defense has taken place. This is already the tenth successful defense<\/strong> of PhD students under the supervision of Anatolii Serhiiovych, which attests to the high level of his scientific school and the significant contribution he makes to the development of modern directions in applied physics and nanomaterials.<\/span><\/p>\n
