\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>The project was conducted under the \u201cEmerging Security Challenges Division Science for Peace and Security Programme.\u201d From the NATO member country side, the \u201cCrystal Growth and Characterization of Semiconductors [CreCYCSem]\u201d group (led by Prof. Vicente Mu\u00f1oz Sanjose, Universitat de Valencia, Spain) participated. Representing the non-NATO country was the \u201cNanoelectronics Materials\u201d group (led by Prof. Anatolii Serhiiovych Opanasiuk, Sumy State University, Ukraine).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0During the final project meeting\u2014organized by the Department of Applied Physics and Electromagnetism of the University of Valencia and sponsored by the SPS NATO Programme\u2014not only were the project\u2019s results presented, but one of the conference\u2019s aims was also to invite and hear interesting talks by other Ukrainian researchers who had been forced to leave their country due to the war with Russia. Examples include Andrii Kanaak of the Fochuk group, now working at ETN in Zurich. For those Ukrainian students and doctoral candidates unable to travel to Spain, remote presentations were arranged, such as by Kateryna Smyrnova and Volodymyr Buranich of Prof. Pohrebniak\u2019s group in Bratislava, Slovakia. In total, 20 presentations were prepared and delivered during the conference.<\/span><\/p>\n
