\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0On December 26<\/strong>, Sumy State University was visited by Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine<\/strong>, Head of the North-Eastern Scientific Center of NASU<\/strong>, Volodymyr Semynozhenko<\/strong>. During the meeting with the university administration and researchers, the results of the development of Ukrainian science in 2023<\/strong> were summarized. According to the academician, despite the challenges of wartime, Ukrainian science continues to demonstrate impressive achievements<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Special attention was given by Volodymyr Semynozhenko<\/strong> to the contribution of Sumy State University<\/strong> to the advancement of scientific activities, emphasizing the importance of research conducted at the university. According to Vice-Rector for Research, Anatolii Chornous<\/strong>, the university has been increasing its funding for scientific projects<\/strong> annually: while in 2022<\/strong> this amount exceeded 127 million UAH<\/strong>, in 2023<\/strong>, it already surpassed 150 million UAH<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0During the official ceremony, the team of Sumy State University<\/strong> was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine<\/strong> for a significant contribution to the development of science and innovation<\/strong>. High awards were also presented to individual university scientists<\/strong> for their outstanding achievements<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The staff of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECT)<\/strong> of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies<\/strong> takes pride in the fact that its head, Anatolii Serhiiovych Opanasiuk<\/strong>, was recognized with a personal award from the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine<\/strong> for “Training the Next Generation of Scientists”<\/strong> and his significant contribution to the development of research in electronics and innovative technologies<\/strong>. This distinction reaffirms the high scientific level<\/strong> of his academic school<\/strong>, where 13 Ph.D. (Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences) dissertations<\/strong> have been successfully defended. Three of these researchers were recognized as “Best Young Scientists of SumDU”<\/strong> in the “Mathematical and Natural Sciences”<\/strong> category and subsequently received scholarships from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine<\/strong> (Ph.D. student M.S. Yermakov and Associate Professors O.A. Dobrozhan and O.V. Diachenko<\/strong>). One of them later became a department head<\/strong>, while another was appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0This recognition serves as yet another confirmation of the high scientific potential<\/strong> of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering<\/strong>, which is actively engaged in addressing pressing issues in modern science and technology<\/strong>. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of its researchers, the department not only enhances the international reputation of the university<\/strong> but also makes a significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s innovative potential<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
