This year it was celebrated on October 4. On this occasion, the rector of the university, Vasyl Karpusha, congratulated the teachers, scientists, staff of Sumy State University, and employees of partner educational institutions. He noted that the Sumy region holds the frontline, and local educators work in extremely difficult conditions: amidst constant enemy attacks on civil and educational infrastructure, under the sound of sirens, and from shelters. Education workers not only teach, but they also support children and youth where the enemy is trying to destroy Ukraine&#8217;s intellectual future.
